Hunger Has No Religion serves our homeless population of the Atlanta Metro area to also include military veterans. We serve this population by providing hygiene essentials and clothing collected by donations from the community. Some of these hygiene essentials include: soap, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant and toilet paper.

Donny Edwards, a U.S. Army Veteran, is the founder of Hunger Has No Religion (HHNR). Recently retired in 2016, Donny decided to move from service to his country to serving his fellow man. A man who is no stranger to hardship and homelessness, Donny has always kept the memory of his own personal struggles and hard work close to his heart and used it as fuel to someday give back to this community. Titilayo (“T”) Hodges is the Executive Administrative Assistant and right arm to HHNR Founder Donny Edwards. Ti comes to HHNR with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science and a minor in Human Resources Management. Having a background in HR Management and over 17 years in business, her compassion and desire to help people caused her to re-evaluate her career goals. Presently Ti is pursuing her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Brenau University while she builds her philanthropic skills through her work at HHNR. Click here to read more
CHARLY JOSEPH – Chairman of the Board
Charly comes to us from the state of Florida where he received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida. He currently works as an Account Executive for People I Love based out of Tampa FL. He has been volunteering since his youth in Bradenton, FL with his youth church group as well as Hope. Volunteering has helped Charly set the foundation for his life, where he is making a direct impact and difference in the world as well as our community.
MIKE O’HAGAN – Vice Chairman of the Board
Michael O’Hagan graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Upon graduation, he was employed by the City of Atlanta as a Police Officer. He later obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law. While pursuing his Juris Doctor, he continued his employment with the Atlanta Police Department while working for a plain clothes, crime suppression unit. Upon his departure from the Atlanta Police Department, he clerked for the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and interned with the Dekalb County District Attorney while practicing under the Third Year Practice Act. He was employed by the firm as a law clerk during his final year of law school, and upon graduation, accepted an associate position with the firm. He currently specializes in Family Law/Domestic Relations, and also practices General Liability Defense and Criminal Defense. He is admitted to the Georgia Bar. Mike brings his legal expertise and connection to the community in an effort to grow and promote the good works of HHNR.
WENDY DARSEY – Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator
Wendy received her bachelor’s degree from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with concentrations in Marketing and Corporate Finance. She comes to HHNR with a strong background in community service having volunteered for 3 years at North Fulton Regional Hospital in their rehabilitation unit. She also founded a charity event, Shimmy-a-thon, that ran for 5 years raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Currently, Wendy works at Georgia State University as a Project Manager. Wendy’s experience and strong drive to serve the community provide HHNR with a wealth of skills to help further drive our successes.
Crystal Medley – Treasurer
Crystal Medley is a native of Philadelphia, PA. She attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA where she studied Business Administration. For the past 29 years Crystal has worked for New Leaf Distributing and currently holds the position of Finance Manager. She is an active member of her church, dedicating many years of service to the ministry. Crystal brings a wealth of knowledge to HHNR on the finance side as well as her service through spiritual ministry.
Debra “Dazz” Spencer – Secretary
Debra “Dazz” Spencer is a recently U.S. Army retiree, Sergeant Major and has taken on the role of volunteerism, which is dearest to her heart. Born and raised in the inner-city of Philadelphia, Pa., her single-parent mother inspired Dazz to set the bar and exceed expectations by not becoming a victim of our circumstances. It is, with that motivation and drive, that allows Dazz to see our Founder’s and organization’s vision. As a “Reservist” in the U.S. Army, and Civil Servant for over 30 years, Dazz has held many positions from administrative to medical Executive Assistant. Prior to being mobilized to Active Duty in 2004, Dazz served as Supervisor & Employability Coordinator to vocational instructors at the Philadelphia Job Corps. Dazz has received various awards and Presidential citations including two Meritorious Service Medals, National Defense Service Medals and Global War on Terrorism
